<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate a rotation-directional distortion quantity of an elastomer layer in a roller member and axis-directional unevenness in a nip width, and to restrain skewing and wrikling in a sheet, change in a speed, and the like, by simple structure. <P>SOLUTION: This roller member for contacting with the sheet to separate or convey the sheet by frictional force has support parts 5 erected on an acting face with the sheet, and a plurality of protrusion members 4 constituted of a head part 6 contacting with the sheet formed in a tip of the each support part 5. A roller shaft-directional cross-sectional shape of the support part 5 is formed into a shape having a major axis part and a minor axis part, and at least one portion out of the plurality of protrusion members 4 is constituted to bring an inclined angleαformed by the major axis part and a roller shaft into the range of 0°<α<90°. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
