摘要 <p>Production of a cylindrical quartz glass body having a low OH content comprises forming a longitudinal porous soot body by initially flame hydrolyzing a silicon-containing compound and depositing silicon dioxide particles in layers on a rotating support, carrying out a dehydration treatment, and vitrifying. The soot body is pretreated in a protective gas and/or under vacuum in a vitrifying oven after dehydration and before vitrification by heating in a heating zone to a temperature of 100-1350 degrees C.</p>
