PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a washing apparatus which can prevent the generation of bacteria in a drainage means by generating a water flow in washing water infiltrating into the drainage means, when the washing water is stored. SOLUTION: This washing apparatus for washing an object immersed in the washing water in a washing tank 1 comprises the washing tank 1 for storing the washing water in which the object to be washed is immersed, the drainage means 2 which is arranged at the bottom 1a of the washing tank and drains off the washing water stored in the washing tank 1, and a water flow generating means 8 for generating the water flow in the washing water infiltrating into the drainage means 2. Herewith, since the water flow can be generated in the washing water infiltrating into the drainage means 2, the generation of bacteria in the drainage means 2 can be prevented.
