PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To increase strength of a joint piece without increasing a wall thickness. SOLUTION: In a box-shaped structure, the joint pieces 11 are mounted at upper and lower ends of four columns, respectively; four upper beams 3-6 are approximately rectangularly joined between the corresponding joint pieces 11 of the adjacent columns; four lower beams 3-6 are approximately rectangularly joined between the corresponding joint pieces 11 of them; the joint pieces 11 are formed in such a cross-sectional shape as to enable tips of the beams 3-6 to be inserted only in a longitudinal direction 12; and only tips of the joint pieces 11 are formed in such a cross-sectional shape as to enable the tips of the beams 3-6 to be inserted from a width direction 18.
