PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce material costs and manufacturing costs in addition to the securement of strength which allows interposition as a reinforcing member between a bedsill B and a pillar P. SOLUTION: A metallic material for reinforcement makes the bedsill B of a building and the pillar P thereof coupled together via an anchor bolt B2 which is erected from the bedsill B. The metallic material comprises: a pillar- side metallic material 20 having side plates 22 which are paired in a width direction and formed in such a manner that both side parts in the width direction are folded at a right angle; and a bolt-side metallic material 30 which is to be integrally fixed to the pillar P with the metallic material 20 in a state of being superposed on the metallic material 20.
