PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a supporting device for continuously cast slab excellent in durability of a supporting roll for cast slab. SOLUTION: In the supporting device for continuously cast slab in a curving type continuous casting facility which disposes a plurality of cast slab supporting means composed of one pair of cast slab supporting rolls for supporting both long side surfaces in the cast slab and one pair of cast slab supporting side rolls for supporting both short side surfaces in the cast slab, the cast slab supporting side roll is formed as a tapered roll and the small diameter side at the curving inner surface side of the cast slab and the large diameter side at the curving outer side of the cast slab, are disposed. It is desirable that the tapered roll is supported with a radius bearing and a thrust bearing and is non-driving. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
