PURPOSE: A socket device for plugging a pipe and a pipe branch device using the same is provided to enable a worker to repair the pipe without assembling an excluding valve. CONSTITUTION: A socket device(100) for plugging a pipe is composed of a hollow body(110), a cover unit(120) coupled with one side of the body, a protrusion unit(130) fixed to the inside of the body, an excluding unit(140) fixed to lower part of the protrusion unit and moving up/down. The excluding unit adheres closely to the protrusion unit when pressure is applied to the lower part of the excluding unit, and seals the upper part of the body.
