METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING HIGH CLEANLINESS STEEL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply manufacturing high cleanliness steel at a low cost by reducing the quantity of slag particles mixed into molten steel. SOLUTION: High cleanliness steel is manufactured at a low cost by blowing inert gas from a bottom part of a ladle at a total inert gas quantity of 10 to 20 Nl/ton-steel at a blowing speed of≤3 Nl/min/ton-steel after pouring molten steel into the molten steel ladle from a converter to efficiently remove suspended slag particles. Preferably, Al deoxidation is performed by making free oxygen in molten steel before deoxidation≥100 ppm. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
