PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide additional information of a broadcast program to many users at a low cost in a proper timing. SOLUTION: The program-interlocking type information providing system 10 is configured with: a broadcast station; user side video program receivers for receiving a video program, user side terminal apparatuses; and a schedule file management server apparatus accessible connected to the user side terminal apparatuses via a public line network. The schedule file management server apparatus includes: a schedule file database for storing a schedule file of each video program provided by the broadcast station; and a contents database for storing contents comprising related information of each video program. Each user side terminal apparatus displays designated contents at a preset prescribed time during broadcast of each video program on the basis of the schedule file of each video program acquired by accessing the schedule file management server apparatus.
