PURPOSE: Provided are articulation protective ingredient from medicinal plant and their composition. Particularly, provided are an extraction method of Clematis mandshurica and a composition containing the extract of Clematis mandshurica which is useful as an articulation protection agent. CONSTITUTION: A composition containing an extract of Clematis mandshurica for the protection of articulation further contains 2.0 wt.% of oleanolic acid and 0.1-0.5 wt.% of isoferulic acid, as active ingredient.
