PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotating apparatus that can improve ease of assembly of a rotor provided with a core comprising a plurality of members. SOLUTION: The armature 3 of a DC motor 1, which is the rotating apparatus, comprises a core 7 with winding 10 wound in the teeth section 14, a commutator 8 to which is connected the end of the winding 10, and a rotation axis 6 to which is fastened the core 7 and the commutator 8. The core 7 comprises a first and second core sections 11, 12. The core 7 is formed by assembling together the first and second core sections 11, 12 after winding the winding 10 in the teeth sections 14 of the first and second core sections 11, 12. Each teeth section 14 is provided on the tip side with protrusions 21 formed to protrude in the axial direction, and the windings 10 wound around the teeth sections 14 are coiled around the protrusions 21.
