PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a nurse calling system that can be introduced easily and inexpensively to, particularly, an already existing wire nurse calling system by solving the troubles caused by both conventional wire and radio nurse calling systems. SOLUTION: This nurse calling system is provided with transmitting sections 3 each of which is provided with a transmission switch 11 for calling, is carried by a patient 2, and transmits radio waves of a prescribed frequency when the switch 11 is operated and connecting terminals 24 detachably connected to nurse calling terminals 6 connected to a nurse station through wires. This nurse calling system also has receiving sections 7 which are installed near the nurse calling terminals 6 and call the nurse station through the connecting terminals 24, nurse calling terminals 6, and wires upon receiving radio waves from the transmitting sections 3.
