PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-whiteness polyester fiber not getting dingy even under repeated laundering and/or ironing and retaining high-level whiteness for a long period. SOLUTION: The high-whiteness polyester fiber is made from a polyester produced by polycondensation using an antimony compound-free polymerization catalyst; wherein 0.01-0.3 wt.% of a fluorescent whitening agent having a maximum fluorescence intensity at 420-460 nm and 0.1-10 ppm of a dye having an absorption peak at 520-560 nm are compounded in the stock liquid.
