PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MRI unit which enables smooth setting in imaging by achieving a higher efficiency in the setting of sliced areas and saturation areas or other operations. SOLUTION: A first and a second points are made indicative from an input device 14 on a saggital image previously taken and displayed on a display device 13 and the sliced areas parallel adjacent to each other are automatically set to perform an imaging of the sliced areas through a controller 7. Third and fourth points are made indicative following the first and second points and the imaging of the sliced areas thus set is also accomplished. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
