PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a portable cutter wherein workability is enhanced through a simple operation with no need of adjustment. SOLUTION: The portable cutter is provided with: a stopper 6 which is fixed to a cutter main body 1, and abuttedly presses a material to be cut 13; a holder 9 which is substantially L-shaped, such that one side of it is positioned in front of the stopper 6, and the other side is slidably inserted in a guide 8, so as to hold the material 13; and a spring 11 which is inserted between an end of the one side inserted in the guide 8, and the guide 8. The holder 9 is constructed so as to be urged to a side of the stopper 6 abutting on the material by the spring 11. COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO
