PROCESS FOR PREPARING TECTORIGENIN AND IRISOLIDONE

PURPOSE: A process for converting inactive isoflavone derivatives to active isoflavone derivatives, thereby preparing tectorigenin and irisolidone in higher yields. CONSTITUTION: A process for preparing isoflavone derivatives of the formula (1) including tectorigenin and irisolidone comprises the steps of: removing coloring substances and impurities from the extract of Pueraria thunbergiana flower using an organic solvent; and removing saccharides attached to tectoridin and kakkalide using an inorganic solvent to give tectorigenin and irisolidone in high yields.
