PURPOSE: A method and an apparatus for demodulating a frequency modulation are provided to obtain the reliability of device by preventing the error from the used elements. CONSTITUTION: An apparatus for demodulating a frequency modulation includes an I/Q data generation block(10) and a digital signal processor(DSP)(14). The I and Q data(13) are converted into a baseband signal in response to the down conversion by the baseband converting block(12). The I/Q data generation block(10) includes an analog to digital conversion block(11) and a baseband conversion block(12). The DSP(14) includes a pair of differentiators(14a,14b), a pair of I'/Q multipliers(14c,14d), a subtracter(14e) and a low pass filter(14f). The low pass filter(14f) performs low-pass filtering of the FM output of the subtracter(14e) and outputs the modulation signal.
