<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To stably operate over a long time even in the operation of a DSS mode. <P>SOLUTION: A sheath heater 6 heating a reforming pipe 1 on the inside is installed in the outer circumference of a reformer container 4 of a reformer exposed to high temperatures, and when power generating operation is stopped, outside electric power is supplied to the sheath heater 6 from a heating power source 7, and the temperature of the reforming pipe 1 is kept at creep transition temperature or more of the constitution member, and thereby, progress of creep deformation caused by temperature cycles is suppressed. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
