<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color adjustment method for matching a gray color obtained by overlapping CMY and the color tone of the entire image to a reference gray or a reference overall color tone when a color image output apparatus provides outputs, and to provide a program for executing the color adjustment method and a recording medium having the program stored thereon. <P>SOLUTION: In the color adjustment method, gradation correction curves for respective C, M, Y are obtained on the basis of: outputs as to a plurality of combinations from a minimum value to a maximum value of three fundamental colors (CMY) in a color image output apparatus; and a plurality of gray outputs by the three fundamental colors (CMY) in a reference color image output apparatus.
