<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a DPF (diesel particulate filter) apparatus through which exhaust gas can be uniformly passed without elongating a diffusion chamber and without increasing resistance to an air-flow. <P>SOLUTION: The filter apparatus comprises a canister, a diffusion chamber and DPF. In the canister, an exhaust-gas conduction pipe is inserted in its upstream side, and an exhaust-gas discharge pipe is provided in its downstream side. The diffusion chamber is provided in the upstream of the canister. The DPF is provided in the downstream of the diffusion chamber in the canister. In the diffusion chamber, the exhaust-gas conduction pipe has an opening in a pipe wall. A plurality of hole-opening plugs are separately provided inside a pipe end. The diffusion chamber is partitioned by a plurality of partitions each having the exhaust-gas conduction pipe and an opening formed in the pipe. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO</p> |
