<p>The present invention provides an orthodontic bracket placement device (100,200,300) comprising a horizontal bracket engaging element (104,208,308) for engaging an orthodontic bracket (302) and a vertical shaft (102,202,306) extending from the horizontal bracket engaging element (104,208,308). The shaft includes a plurality of indicia (310) for aligning with the incisal edge of a tooth when the bracket placement device (100,200,300) is used to place an orthodontic bracket (302) engaged by the engaging element (104,208,308) on the tooth. A method is also provided for placing an orthodontic bracket (302) on a tooth comprising placing the orthodontic bracket (302) on the tooth at a particular vertical position on the tooth using a bracket placement device (100,200,300) by engaging a horizontal bracket engaging element (104,208,308) of the device with a bracket (302) and aligning one of a plurality of indicia (310) on the bracket placement device (100,200,300) with the incisal edge of the tooth and adhering the orthodontic bracket (302) to the tooth. Kits comprising bracket placement devices (100,200,300) of the present invention are also provided.</p> |
