PURPOSE: Provided are wood piece useful for floor material such as floor of living room or wood matt and a process for manufacturing thereof by adding titanium oxide to UV coating material to be applied on top layer of the floor material in order to obtain UV protection function, bactericidal effect, and/or anti-static performance. CONSTITUTION: The wood piece comprises a rectangular wood piece body(101), a base layer(102) formed in a constant thickness by applying UV coating material over the body(101), and a top layer(103) formed by coating a mixture of 50:50 with UV coating material and liquid titanium oxide over the base layer(102). The process comprises preparing the wood piece(101) firstly covered with the base layer(102) by the UV coating material; rubbing top surface of the piece with sandpaper to obtain a smooth surface; applying the 50:50 mixture of the UV coating material and the liquid titanium oxide to form a constant thickness of top layer(103).
