<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a safe and inexpensive acetylcholine esterase inhibitor expected to have treating and remedying effect on the symptoms of diseases caused by the lowering of acetylcholine such as Alzheimer's dementia. <P>SOLUTION: This acetylcholine esterase inhibitor contains a catechin as an active component. The content of catechin is preferably 0.01-5 mass%.
