PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a means for extracting vector data close to an original image by performing a proper connecting processing and noise removal to vector groups extracted from an image in an improved program and method for connecting segmented vectors extracted from an image with unclear density such as a color image. SOLUTION: This segmented vector connecting program is constituted so as to operate a connecting processing standard selection step for successively selecting a plurality of preset vector connecting processing standards; a vector group connecting step for connecting segmented vector groups on the basis of the selected vector connecting processing standards; and a noise removing step for removing vectors of a preset noise length or less when the vector group connecting step is executed for all the preset vector connecting processing standards.
