<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an MPEG data receiver which enables the mutual action between the MPEG data receiver and an MPEG data providing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: This receiver has a storage portion 14 for storing scene description information separated from a received MPEG stream, an instruction recognition portion 19 which outputs node identification information of an object selected by a user and a scene correction instruction inputted by the user, and a correction portion 20 which retrieves from the storage portion, scene description information which corresponds to a scene correction instruction with respect to the node identification information, and selectively performs a process of updating the scene description information with respect to the object according to the existence of scene identification information which corresponds to the scene correction instruction, and a process of making a request to an MPEG stream providing apparatus for scene description information which corresponds to the scene correction instruction. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
