<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system enabling remote monitoring and remote control of a water heater arranged in a house from an outing destination with extremely simple and inexpensive constitution while using a connecting environment of a global network such as the Internet. <P>SOLUTION: The water heater 1 makes access to an external server 4 connected via the global network, and transmits event information of associating time information and identification information on the water heater 1 with inside state information and operation information on the water heater 1. The external server 4 estimates a state of the water heater 1 on the basis of the event information received from the water heater side. The external server 4 transmits a state estimating result of the water heater 1 to access from a communication terminal unit 20 other than the water heater, and accepts and registers remote control information. The water heater 1 receives the remote control information by periodically making access to the external server 4, and executes operation on the basis of the remote control information on the water heater side. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2004,JPO |
