<p>An indoor CDMA mobile communication system and control method thereof that simultaneously supplies a traffic signal, control signal and GPS signal using a LAN cable installed indoors or outdoors. The system includes a GPS antenna for receiving a GPs signal outputted from a satellite, a coaxial cable for transmitting the received GPS signal, a GPS signal matching section composed of a GPS receiver for receiving and demodulating the GPS signal and an encoder for modulating and encoding the traffic signal, control signal and GPS signal so as to transmit the signals to match characteristics of the LAN cable in consideration of electric and mechanical characteristics of the LAN cable, and at least one base transceiver subsystem including a GPS signal decoder for converting the modulated and encoded signals transmitted through the LAN cable, connecting to the GPS signal matching section through the LAN cable, and operating in synchronization with the decoded GPS signal. The system uses general LAN (e.g., Ethernet) cables without the necessity of a separate installation work, and thus the installation costs and the complexity of wires can be reduced.</p> |
