PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To auto-control a swing operation of a wind direction adjusting grille of a center face air outlet by considering a condition of the wind direction setting of the grille of a side face air outlet. SOLUTION: This air conditioner is provided with center wind direction adjusting grilles 24a and 25a to swing the direction of blow-out air automatically by actuators 24b and 25b on a substantially center portion in the vehicle horizontal direction of an instrument panel 23, side wind direction adjusting grilles 26a and 27a capable of adjusting wind directions of blow-out air by a manual operation of an occupant and potentiometers 26b and 27b for detecting positions of the grilles 26a and 27a, near end portions of the panel 23 in the vehicle vertical direction. Swing control conditions of the grilles 24a and 25a are corrected according to positions of the grilles 26a and 27a. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
