<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method and an image forming device which prevent magnifications in the horizontal direction from being varied by the influence of frequency dispersion of a clock even in the case that a frequency dispersed clock is applied to a write system of the image forming device. <P>SOLUTION: The image forming device is provided with a clock modulation means 32 which periodically disperses the frequency of a clock to be supplied to each part of the device on the basis of a reference clock to generate the frequency dispersed clock, a control means 10 which controls a frequency dispersion period T2 of the frequency dispersed clock so that T1/T2 may be an integer wherein T1 is an image area period in the main scanning direction at the time of image formation, and an image forming means 60 which uses the frequency dispersed clock having the frequency dispersion period controlled to form an image corresponding to image data on a recording medium. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
