An image processing device and method and an image processing device manufacturing method capable of faithfully reproducing colors and reducing a noise. A four-color filter (61) consists of an R filter transmitting only red light, a B filter transmitting only blue light, a G1 filter transmitting only green light of a first wavelength band, and a G2 filter transmitting only green light of a second wavelength bands as the least unit. Moreover, the G1 filter and the G2 filters are arranged at diagonal positions in the least unit. RGB signals are generated according to the four kinds of signals transmitting the four-color filter (61) and acquired by an image sensor. The present invention can be applied to an image processing device such as a digital camera.
