PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing an insufficient spread of droplets or a contamination of neighboring regions with the droplets in the case of discharging and arranging a liquid material in the form of the droplets in a region on a substrate, and to provide a structure and a production method capable of suppressing insufficient spread of droplets or contamination of neighboring regions with the droplets in a display apparatus.

SOLUTION: Practically rectangular regions 7 are formed by partitioning walls 6c formed on a substrate 12. Between the inner faces 6X and 6Y of the partitioning walls 6C surrounding the regions 7, the inner faces 6X forming the longer sides of the regions 7 are formed in an uneven shape. The intervals of pairs of the partitioning walls 6c opposite to each other so as to hold the respective regions 7 therebetween are made to become wider or narrower along the direction in which the longer sides of the regions 7 are extended. Further, the widths of the partitioning walls 5c are also made to become wider or narrower along the direction in which the longer sides of the regions 7 are extended.
