The device for the holding of edge magazines (20), upon each of which is installed an edge roller, has a frame (12) in which several carrier units are spaced apart one above the other and upon each of which a plate-form edge magazine can be horizontally laid. A manipulating device (30) is installed on one vertical side of the frame and has a mounting (32) which is guided vertically along the frame and movable by a drive. A receiving unit is supported on the mounting and is linearly and horizontally movable from a starting position outside the frame into a receiving position inside it.
