PURPOSE: A disaster prevention system having a diagnosis and correction function and a method thereof are provided to enable a disaster prevention sensor to perform the corresponding function normally by checking operation state of the sensors. CONSTITUTION: At least more than one disaster prevention sensor(11,12,13) senses emergency. A control part(15) diagnoses abnormality generation as monitoring operation state of the disaster prevention sensor, and changes an initial operation value of the sensor by judging that there is an abnormal operation in the disaster prevention sensor in case that the initial operation value of the disaster prevention sensor is changed and the amount of change continues for a set time or is measured more often than the set number. The disaster prevention sensor operates at a changed initial operation value according to the control of the control part.
