The tensioning screw for tensioning systems with tensioning ropes (14) has a head (56), shank (46) and tensioning thread. The screw has an axial central through-hole and at least one radial threaded hole which runs into the through-hole and into which fits a clamping screw (54). The radial threaded hole is located in a thread-free section of the shank of the tensioning screw close to the head and which may be a square section (52). The screw may a cup square bolt to DIN 603 standard.
