PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine capable of efficiently performing control accompanying the automatic stop of a variable display device and achieving the fairness of a game. SOLUTION: A CPU 41a performs stop control corresponding to the setting conditions of a winning flag whether a stop operation is performed or it is automatic stop control for reels other than the one to be stopped last, and performs the stop control so as not to arrange a winning combination on any winning lines only for the reel to be stopped last in the case of the automatic stop control. The CPU 41a judges whether or not data in a RAM 41c including a setting value work are normal upon activation and inactivates the progress of the game until a new setting value is set by a setting value changing operation when they are judged as being abnormal.
