PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cleaning agent for extruder exhibiting excellent cleaning effect in extrusion molding. SOLUTION: The cleaning agent for extruder is produced by compounding (A) a vinyl polymer with (B) a low molecular weight olefin polymer and (C) a lubricant having an amide group or ester group and/or (D) an aliphatic metal salt. The low molecular weight olefin polymer is preferably a polymer selected from polyethylene wax, polypropylene wax and oxidized polyethylene wax. The cleaning agent may further contain one or more fillers selected from the group consisting of metal oxides, metal hydroxides, metal carbonates, metal sulfates, metal silicates and carbon.
