<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a TV program recorder and a program recording method utilizing a network, which allow the manager side to not only make reservations for recording of TV programs which a registered user desires but also preserve recorded image data without imposing restrictions on device arrangement, time, and place upon the registered user at the time of making reservations for recording. <P>SOLUTION: The program recording method utilizing the network is provided with a server 1. The server 1 is provided with a host database 2 which receives broadcast data 42 to continuously store the broadcast data 42 and a personal database 4 for storing recorded image data 43 and 45 to be transmitted to a communication terminal 3 of the registered user, and the server 1 extracts pertinent program data from the broadcast data 42 stored in the host database 2 on the basis of recording reservation data inputted from the communication terminal 3 of the registered user and stores the pertinent program data as recorded image data 43 and 45 in the personal database 4 and transmits the recorded image data 43 and 45 to the communication terminal 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
