The intermediate amplifier uses a regulated wideband HF amplifier (4) with an amplification factor controlled by a regulation path (6) between the signal path (1) and the control input (5) of the amplifier. The regulation path contains a power measuring circuit (7) for measuring the signal power, a mean value stage (8) and a time delay stage (9), for delaying the regulating signal fed to the amplifier control input.
