PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an aqueous one-component coating agent which is excellent in storage stability and environmental-friendly, adheres to a substrate in a short time, and forms a coating film excellent in appearance, and coating method excellent in workability. SOLUTION: This aqueous one-component coating agent contains an aqueous one-component thermosetting resin emulsion which does not substantially contain a free isocyanate group and is prepared by dispersing, in water, a partially blocked isocyanate prepared by blocking a part of free isocyanate groups of an organic polyisocyanate modified with a silane coupling agent with a blocking agent or dispersing a partially blocked isocyanate in an aqueous resin emulsion having a silane coupling agent structure and then reacting isocyanate groups with water until free isocyanate groups substantially disappear. The coating method comprises applying the coating agent to a substrate at 80°C or lower and thermally curing at 100-300°C. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
