<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate generation or progression state of a local corrosion by monitoring change in the water quality of minute amount of internal water simulating the local corrosion on a metal member of a water system plant, to clarify the mechanism of a progression phenomenon of the local corrosion, and to suppress its generation or progression. <P>SOLUTION: A monitoring device 8 equipped with an artificial pit 81 being a simulation structure of the local corrosion on the metal member of the water system plant is provided, and pH and the chloride ion concentration in the internal water X in the artificial pit 81 are measured. Hereby, generation or the progression state of the local corrosion on the metal member is evaluated, and generation or progression of the local corrosion generated in the water system plant is suppressed based on the measurement result. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
