<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To test a network assist-type GPS receiver, without connecting to a network. <P>SOLUTION: A simulated satellite signal is generated, by simulating an actual satellite signal and emitted from a transmitting antenna 48. A personal computer (PC) 61 functioning as a simulated server or a signaling tester 62, being associated therewith supplies simulated positioning instructions to an object to be tested. Like actual positioning instructions, the simulated positioning instructions include information of satellite number, and the object to be tested 10 receives and acquires the simulated satellite signal, in accordance with the instructions.
