PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel injection pump as improvement of a conventional feed pump attached to a fuel injection pump involving such problems that an orifice is formed for damping the pulsated pressure in the feed pump likely to cause a clog and that a pressure may be applied to an oil seal in contact with a fuel sump of the leaked fuel from the feed pump likely to generate such inconvenience as the oil seal slipping off or the like. SOLUTION: The fuel injection pump 1 is structured so that its feed pump 6 to perform suction and discharge of the fuel is arranged capable of being mounted and removed externally and that a fuel suction passage to the feed pump 6 and the fuel discharge passage 31 from the feed pump 6 are formed in a housing H, wherein a leak passage 66 to guide the leaked fuel at the bearing part 61a of the feed pump 6 is formed inside the pump body 61 and put in communication to a return passage 41 to be connected with the fuel tank.
