A cistern (1, 1') is installed in a wall cavity under a layer of plaster. The cistern has a fitting aperture (2, 2'), an outlet in the base, and a rotating discharge mechanism (5, 6; 5', 6'). The fitting aperture (2) has a fixture (9) for the discharge mechanism. The fixture (9) esp. has a clamp (10, 11) by means of which the fixture is retained in the fixing aperture.
