摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a particulate combustion catalyst extremely facilitating the combustion of particulates contained in exhaust gas of a dilute internal combustion engine. <P>SOLUTION: The particulate combustion catalyst is constituted by supporting at least one metal selected from transition metals on a noble metal supported on an oxide carrier. Preferably, a mass ratio of the transition metal/noble metal is 0.005-0.3 and the transition metal is at least one metal selected from Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Y, Mo, Ru, Cu, Ce and Nd and a particle size of the transition metal is 0.5-10 nm. This particulate combustion catalyst can be produced by supporting the noble metal on the oxide carrier and subsequently reducing and precipitating the transition metal on the carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
