PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a carbon dioxide releasable polymer composition for photosynthesis which promotes the photosynthesis of plants by increasing the concentration of carbon dioxide to improve the yield and the sugar content, and enables efficient control of the concentration of carbon dioxide for a long period of time with good accuracy and no waste. SOLUTION: The carbon dioxide releasable polymer composition (A) for promoting photosynthesis is a polymer composition having an initial carbon dioxide content of 2 to 70 pts.mass based on 100 pts.mass polymer (a), and has a continuous period of time for releasing carbon dioxide at atmospheric pressure at 25°C of at least 100 hours.
