<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a condition in which belt tension remains high by functions of lock means in the case of releasing the belt tension by a motor. <P>SOLUTION: A reel 5 for winding the seatbelt 3, a motor 15 for controlling the belt tension of the seatbelt 3 by rotating the reel 5, lock means (a lock gear 37, an engaging pawl 59) allowing the rotation of the reel 5 in a normal condition and blocking rotation in the belt extracting direction of the reel 5 actuated with needed, and a lock action regulating means (an electromagnet 97) regulating the lock action of the lock means at the time of controlling the belt tension by the motor 15 are provided. In this case, a condition in which the belt tension remains high is prevented in spite of releasing the belt tension by regulating the action of the lock means in releasing the belt tension after increasing the belt tension by actuating the motor 15. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
