<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device for display, having excellent characteristics of a light emitting diode, producing no nonuniform light and darkness of light, and having capability of obtaining uniform surface light emission having high luminance with a small amount of power consumption. <P>SOLUTION: Light-reflective paint 12 having high light reflecting efficiency is applied to the entire inner surface of a die frame 11, and a transparent light guiding plate 20 is fitted into the die frame 11 after sticking a large number of beads 13 to expedite optically irregular reflection to the die frame with the light-reflective paint 12 used as a medium for adhesion. Light emitting diodes 30 forming chip LED's are disposed side by side at prescribed intervals on the transparent light guiding plate 20 by making their irradiating sides face the bottom surface of the die frame 11, and are fixed on the transparent light guiding plate 20 in a condition wherein all of the light emitting diodes 30 can be covered in their thickness direction by a resin adhesive 40. In addition, a light dispersing resin 50 is laminated on the light emitting diodes 30 and the resin adhesive 40 so as to cover the upper surface side of the die frame 11. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
