PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a handwritten information processing method and device, a handwritten information processing program and a recording medium storing the program, capable of automatically setting the information related to the character recognition processing without artificially changing settings of the information, conveniently used by a user and capable of character recognition excellent in usability. SOLUTION: In the handwritten information processing method, device, handwritten information processing program and the recording medium storing the program, a candidate character corresponding to a drawn character drawn by the handwritten input operation is obtained by the character recognizing processing, and a recognized character selected from the candidate characters is displayed in a designated font. According to the input drawing information obtained by the input operation, automatically the contents of settings of information processing related to the recognition processing are changed.
