<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a certificate issuing system receiving an issuance reservation at a place and time designated by a user and issuing a certificate after carrying out personal identification by a method not using a special apparatus and having no security concerns. <P>SOLUTION: The certificate issuing system comprises a center side device managing and distributing certificates, and one or a plurality of image forming device. It is characterized by that it is provided with the center side device having a certificate issuing means for preparing certificate data in response to an application and a sending means for sending the certificate data to a designated image forming device, and the image forming device having a receiving means for receiving, the certificate data sent from the center side device, an issuance process starting means for starting an issuance process by an input of the user, a reading means for requesting presentation of identification to the user and reading it and a personal identification means for carrying out personal identification on the basis of the information read by the reading means. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
