The invention relates to a process for producing copper sulphide from by-products and waste, by leaching the same in a mixture formed with a mother liquor resulting from a previous crystallization and sulphuric acid. The leaching takes place at a solid : liquid ratio value of 1: 5 ...10, and the resulting suspension is heated at a temperature of 85 ... 90 degree C while stirring and bubbling air continuously for 2...4 h. After being settled and filtered a limpid solution results, which is subjected to cooling for the crystallization of copper sulphide.
